Brick Calculator (Kelvin Timber)
Measure the wall, subtract openings, choose your brick type, then add everything to basket in one hit.
Single skin ≈ 60 bricks/m²
Double skin ≈ 120 bricks/m²
Defaults: 10mm joint + UK standard brick rate
1) Wall size
Double skin uses ~2× bricks and mortar.
Covers cuts, breakages, and “I dropped it… again”.
Tip: openings subtract from area. If you’re building piers or returns, add that into length/area manually.
2) Pick your brick
Smart mix is usually the least faff: full pallets + the remainder as singles.
Mortar is a guide — mixes, joint thickness & brick type change usage.
3) Optional extras
Ventilation for suspended floors / airflow through walls.
Coping helps shed water and protects the top of the wall.
We’ll add the correct variation to basket based on colour.
Auto-calcs from wall length, but you can override.
Cills & liners can be added later as a “manual extras” module (window widths → pick nearest cill length). I’ve kept this first version tight so it doesn’t turn into a monster.
