Exterbal Use:
Commonly used by joiners for external shed corners and edges, this timber moulding provides a neat, finished look while covering exposed joins.
✅ Ideal for outdoor use – perfect for sheds, gates, and fencing corners
✅ Easy to fix in place with pins or outdoor screws
Important: As this is untreated timber, it must be coated with a suitable external wood preservative or paint before installation to protect against moisture and weathering.
If the cushion corner angle is not protected with a suitable wood preservative or paint, especially for outdoor use, here’s what can happen over time:
Rot and Decay – Untreated timber will absorb moisture, leading to fungal growth and rot.
Swelling and Splitting – Changes in weather (rain, frost, sun) can cause the wood to swell, warp, and eventually crack.
Shorter Lifespan – It won’t last as long and will likely need replaced much sooner.
Discolouration – The wood will weather and turn grey or patchy from UV damage and damp.
If it’s going outside, a good coat of external wood treatment is essential to protect it and keep it looking good.
