1) Your fence basics
This calculator is for vertical slatted fences using Kelvin Timber products.
Type in either metres or feet/inches — we’ll auto-fill the other.
Posts calculated at 1.8m centres (Kelvin setup for slatted fencing).
2) Slats, gaps & look
We’ll use your custom gap in the calculation.
3) Post setting & fixings
On exposed sites, we recommend airflow (19mm+) and extra post strength.
Mix & match = nails for slats + screws for rails/posts.
Nice to have — helps protect posts and gives a cleaner finish.

3) Foundations, gravel boards & fixings
Uses 18x150 treated slats (Kelvin stock).
Auto selects 4x4 or 5x5 caps based on post thickness.
Gravel board options
We’ll include RW75 nails + clout nails for gravel boards.

Posts calculated at 1.8m centres (Kelvin standard).
2) Battens, gap & privacy
We’ll use your custom gap in the calculation.
Membrane blocks visibility through gaps, hides backgrounds, and helps stop growth through the fence.
3) Post setting & fixings
On exposed sites, consider stronger posts and more Postcrete.
Mix & match includes both nails + screws so you can choose your preferred method on site.
Nice to have — helps protect posts and gives a cleaner finish.
